What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent make-up technique, lasting up to 18 months to 2 years. This depends on skin type, lifestyle, medication, and most of all your aftercare. Hair strokes are created using a small hand-held tool that is dipped into the pigment and inserted into the skin. I use only the best pigments and top-quality disposable blades. The results are fine hair-like strokes, that blend into your own eyebrow hairs. I use the ‘golden ratio’ or ‘perfect proportion’ when mapping out your brows, this is the 1st step after your numbing cream has been applied. Once they are mapped out, you will see the shape to check you are happy with them before we start.

What you will achieve

Once you have had your 4-6 week top up and your brows are completely healed, you will be left with perfectly shaped, even, fuller, more defined brows, designed and shaped just for you. Great brows completely frame and define your face, giving you that ‘done-up’ look, even on a no make-up day. Your new and improved brows will frame your face beautifully, leaving you feeling confident even without makeup.

The Process

Apt 1

During your consultation, we will discuss your concerns, your options and the desired overall look you want to achieve.

A full HD Brow treatment is the 1st step to creating your perfect brows.

A patch test will also be carried out during this appointment by making a small scratch at the back of your ear.

Apt 2

Your first Microblading appointment!

We will start off with numbing cream and a detailed consultation form. Once this is complete, I will then draw on your desired shape and we will both decide on the correct pigment for you. The perfect colour should complement your skin tone and hair colour.

Apt 3

Your 4-6 week Top Up is very important to the final result.

During the initial healing process, hair-strokes may have faded or completely gone. This is normal which is why a top-up is needed. Skin type and aftercare play a big part in the healing process.

This will all be discussed during your appointment

Microblading FAQS

How Long Does it Last?

Microbading lasts from 18 months to 2 years. Ombre brows tend to last slightly longer as more pigment is inserted.

Does it Hurt?

I use a two-step numbing process which keeps the pain minimal. Clients normally say it’s a 0-3 out of 10.

Who is Not Suitable?

Microblading is not suitable for the following?

  • Using Accutane
  • Have heart conditions or using heart medications
  • Have diabetes (will require a physician’s note)
  • Have skin disease or irritations
  • Have had Botox in the last 2 weeks
  • Have gotten a deep tan or chemical peels in the last 2 weeks
  • Allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine or epinephrine
  • Anyone who has any serious medical conditions may require a physician’s note.
  • Pregnant or nursing clients who want to microblade can be done at your own discretion. We suggest discussing with your doctor first. Microblading is still considered a tattoo, and just like with wine or sushi consumption, it is a personal choice to do so during this period.
How Often do I Need a Colour Boost?

Most clients have an annual colour boost to keep them fresh and defined. In some cases, a 6-month colour boost is required depending on your lifestyle and skin type.

How Long Does it Take?

Your appointment is normally between 2-3 hours.

How Long is the Healing Process?

It takes 4 weeks for your brows to completely heal, then another 4 weeks after your Top Up. The aftercare is only for the first 7 days after your treatment. This will all be explained in detail during your appointment.
